Information Technology Intern - Summer 2026 College students are you looking for an IT internship where you can make a difference now? What You'll Do: Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or work on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent in shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment. Work closely with tenured administrators of the Farm Bureau Server Team to develop skills and learn technologies that are beneficial for a career in Information Technology. Gain real world experience related to project work, production support, and technical requirements. Explore different areas of Information Technology by participating in divisional activities. Learn about Farm Bureau Financial Services and the insurance industry by participating in organizational events. Learn about the agile methodology by participating in daily stand ups and sprint planning. What It Takes to Join Our Team: Be a college student pursuing a Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree. o Additionally, a student who is pursuing in supplementary programs such as Computing Applications or Certification. Completion or active enrollment of coding courses or previous coding and/or scripting experience. A quick learner who is interested in current and new technologies and looking to learn the communication and administrative demands of the field. Must have strong verbal & written communication skills. Must be willing to work alongside team members and take on challenging learning opportunities. Must have good problem-solving skills. Must be positive, energetic, and willing to learn while and is willing to provide feedback or propose new ideas. Must be committed and able to work a 38-hour work week consistently throughout the entirety of the internship.
