Role Description

The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) serves as a critical bridge between Vave Health, our customers, and our commercial partners. This role combines clinical expertise, customer engagement, product training, and field-based support to ensure successful implementation and utilization of Vave's ultrasound solutions.


The Clinical Applications Specialist will work directly with physicians, clinicians, educators, and distribution partners to deliver product demonstrations, provide hands-on training, support product implementations, and troubleshoot clinical workflows. This individual must bring a deep understanding of ultrasound imaging along with a customer-first mindset and the energy required to thrive in a fast-growing medical technology company.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, solving problems in real time, supporting customers in the field, and helping expand adoption of innovative medical technology.



Key Responsibilities

Clinical Customer Support

  • Provide expert clinical support to customers using Vave ultrasound systems across multiple clinical specialties.
  • Respond to clinical inquiries, technical questions, and troubleshooting requests related to imaging workflows and device use.
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource for physicians, educators, and healthcare providers.

Product Demonstrations

  • Conduct in-person and virtual demonstrations of Vave ultrasound devices for prospective customers.
  • Deliver compelling clinical demonstrations highlighting device capabilities, imaging quality, and real-world use cases.
  • Partner with sales teams to support customer evaluations and purchasing decisions.

Product Implementation & Training

  • Support customer onboarding and device implementation following purchase.
  • Deliver structured onboarding & training programs for physicians, clinicians, and educators.
  • Ensure users are confident in scanning techniques, workflows, and device functionality.
  • Support clinical education initiatives including workshops, training sessions, and webinars.

Business Partner & Distributor Support

  • Train and support Vave's international distribution partners to ensure high-quality clinical engagement with customers.
  • Provide clinical education resources and field support for distributor-led sales activities.
  • Participate in partner onboarding and ongoing distributor training programs.

Clinical Engagement & Relationship Development

  • Build strong relationships with healthcare providers, educators, and key opinion leaders.
  • Support the development of clinical champions and early adopters of Vave technology.
  • Gather clinical insights and user feedback to help guide product development and improvements.

Troubleshooting & Field Support

  • Assist customers with troubleshooting imaging, workflow, and usability issues.
  • Work closely with engineering, product management, and customer operations teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Document field insights to improve product performance and customer experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product management, and clinical leadership teams.
  • Support industry conferences, training events, and educational programs.
  • Contribute to clinical content development including case studies, training materials, and educational resources.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required (clinical or healthcare-related field preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical ultrasound experience
  • Strong background in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) or diagnostic ultrasound
  • Experience training clinicians or supporting ultrasound adoption in clinical environments
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct product demonstrations and clinical training sessions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot clinical and technical issues in real-time environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% domestically and in the America's as required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
