TetraScience Data Integration Engineer

We have two divisions: 1) Hospital / Provider Practice 2) Managed Care / Payer Practice - we work directly with health plans (very strong in the Blue Cross Blue Shield space). We are currently hiring an TetraScience Data Engineer

Summary: One of our clients is looking for a TetraScience Data Engineer designs, builds, and supports scalable scientific data pipelines that ingest, transform, and harmonize laboratory instrument and informatics data into the TetraScience Scientific Data Cloud / Tetra Data Platform (TDP). This role partners with scientists and engineering teams to deliver reliable, traceable, and compliant data flows across lab ecosystems (instruments, ELN, LIMS, SDMS), enabling downstream analytics and operational use cases.

Requirement

• Programming & Data: Python (data engineering, parsers, automation, testing) and SQL using Amazon Athena for querying data in S3-backed data lake architectures.
• Cloud & AWS: Hands-on experience with AWS services including VPC, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch for both engineering and operational support.
• Monitoring & Visualization: Grafana for building dashboards and monitoring data pipelines and platform services.
• DevOps: CI/CD pipeline setup for automating build, test, and deployment processes for data and pipeline code.
• Integration & APIs: Experience working with REST APIs and API Gateways, including secure integration patterns, token-based authentication, and rate limiting.
• Front-End / Data Applications: React and JavaScript for developing lightweight UIs to support pipeline observability, data workflows, and internal tools.
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with ELN, LIMS, and SDMS systems and understanding how laboratory data flows across these platforms.

Location: Hybrid -3 days onsite and 2 days remote in Foster City, CA
