The Opportunity:
We are looking for a ServiceNow Senior System Administrator to oversee the health, stability, and evolution of our ServiceNow platform. You will manage daily platform administration, advanced configuration, release and upgrade management, integrations, and platform governance, while also mentoring junior system administrators and setting operational standards.
You are a hands-on expert who balances deep technical execution with leadership, coaching, and platform stewardship. You will report to the Application Development Team Lead.
The Day-to-Day:
Be the primary administrator for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring availability, performance, reliability, and scalability
Configure and maintain core platform components including users, groups, roles, ACLs, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, workflows, and Flow Designer
Monitor and maintain instance health, including performance tuning, log analysis, and proactive issue resolution
Manage platform upgrades and patching, including impact analysis, testing coordination, remediation, and post-release validation
Lead ServiceNow release management, including planning, scheduling, deployment, and rollback strategies
Enforce change, release, and configuration management standards to ensure platform stability and audit readiness
Configure and support ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB/CSDM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications
Establish and enforce platform standards, reusable patterns, and best practices to minimize technical debt and ensure upgrade safety
Administer roles, permissions, and ACLs following least-privilege principles
Enforce platform governance, security controls, and compliance requirements
Support audit, risk, and regulatory activities related to the ServiceNow platform
Partner with security and enterprise architecture teams to ensure data protection and platform compliance
Support and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, IntegrationHub, and data imports
Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve user experience
Be a technical mentor and escalation point for junior system administrators
Partner with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into platform solutions
Support release testing, deployment activities, and post-release validation
Participate in incident, problem, and root-cause analysis related to platform issues
Your Qualifications:
10+ years of overall professional IT experience
5+ years of experience administering enterprise ServiceNow platforms
ServiceNow CSA
Deep hands-on expertise with ServiceNow core administration and configuration
Proven experience leading release management and production deployments
Experience with CMDB and CSDM concepts
Experience with security roles, ACLs, and compliance controls
Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis
Experience working in ITIL-based operating models
Compensation:
$115,000 - $165,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
