Network SME Engineer (CCIE Certified)

Job Title: Network SME Engineer (CCIE Certified) Location: Alpharetta, GA - Hybrid (3 Days Onsite per Week) Duration: 6 Months Important Note: Local candidates preferred from Alpharetta, GA. Candidate must be available for onsite client evaluation in New York City or Atlanta. Active CCIE Certification is mandatory. Candidates without an active CCIE certification will be rejected. Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Network SME Engineer with 12+ years of experience in enterprise networking environments. The ideal candidate must possess anactive CCIE Lab Certification and deep expertise in routing, switching, cloud networking, and IPv6 environments. The role focuses on designing, troubleshooting, and implementing network solutions acrossCampus, Data Center, and Cloud infrastructures. Technical / Functional Skills Strong expertise in Networking (Routing & Switching), Cloud Networking, and IPv6 In-depth knowledge of network protocols: BGP OSPF Spanning Tree Protocol Multicast Experience designing and troubleshooting Cisco and Arista network platforms Hands-on experience with IP routing platforms: ISR ASR1K ASR9K Catalyst 9K Nexus 9K Multicast technologies: IGMPv2 / IGMPv3 PIM Static RP RP-Anycast Overlay networking technologies: IPSEC DMVPN VXLAN Experience with high-speed cabling and optics: 10G / 25G / 40G / 50G / 100G Breakout cables and breakout panels Automation knowledge using Ansible (Preferred) Strong IPv6 implementation and troubleshooting experience Experience Required Minimum 12+ years of experience in enterprise network environments Strong hands-on expertise in Routing & Switching Advanced troubleshooting of complex BGP and OSPF environments Experience troubleshooting network connectivity for IoT devices and sensors Knowledge of: Cisco ISE TACACS DNS / DHCP Cisco CCIE Lab Certification (Routing & Switching or Service Provider) - Mandatory Roles & Responsibilities Design and develop network solutions for Campus, Data Center, and Cloud environments usingIPv4 and IPv6 Identify communication scenarios between end devices and edge devices Design, execute, and oversee testing of data gathering, aggregation, and analytics capabilities Troubleshoot complex networking issues across routing, switching, and overlay technologies Support network migrations and infrastructure upgrades Provide expertise in BGP, OSPF, and advanced network troubleshooting
