Job Description
Support the operations and maintenance of Bestel's Network equipment such as Juniper and Cisco IP Equipment and DWDM (Dense Wavelength Demultiplexer Multiplexor) technology, SDH/Sonet Europe and American standard, in order to ensure optimum function and service to our customer with interconnection between USA/MEX (circuits OC-3/STM-1, OC-48/SMT-16, DS3/E3, E1/T1) broadband Network. Responsible for the different management projects assigned to the USA region, including site conditioning and improvement to the network and customer projects. Trouble ticket on backbone equipment as well in the customer circuit and applications issues reported under the system HELIX (internal system) . Responsible for the Network availability and internet connection services. Capacity planning for IP network traffic with different providers like Equinix, Netflix, Amazon, Microsoft, to balance the traffic. Support to NOC (Network Operations Center) located at our corporate office in Mexico City, regarding solutions for customer on technical demand and requirement on circuits between USA/Mexico. Construction of new circuits (equipment programming, wiring, testing performance) for Mexican Customers who are getting interconnections with US company, (Telia, GTT, Zayo, Lumen, Verizon etc.).
