WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Development Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director and development team to support fundraising initiatives and coordinate development events. This role manages event logistics, maintains donor data and CRM systems, and assists with development communications across digital platforms.

Key responsibilities include supporting the planning and execution of fundraising events (e.g., walks, golf outings, and social events), managing CRM/database records and reporting, assisting with digital communications such as social media, e-newsletters, and website updates, creating digital content, supporting the donor communications calendar, and providing general administrative support to the development team.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong commitment to supporting fundraising growth and team success:

Coordinate logistics for development events (walk, golf outing, social events), including permits, city coordination, site selection, contracts, AV, signage, rentals, registration, and volunteer supportLead execution of donor cultivation events - managing invitations, vendor coordination, catering, guest experience, check-in, and event productionSupport event committees by coordinating logistics, meetings, and follow-up in partnership with the Development ManagerAssist with development event budgets, financial tracking, and reportingManage donor data and reporting as a "super user" of development platforms (Salesforce, Rallybound, Classy) to support donor outreachCoordinate donor acknowledgment and recognition for event donors and sponsorsPerform other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU'LL POSSESS

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum 2-3 experience in large-scale special event planningSuperior interpersonal, time management and organizational skillsExperience working with nonprofit organizations, board members and volunteers is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExceptional interpersonal, time management and organizational skillsProficiency with technology and digital platforms (e.g.; CRM, Microsoft Office, Canva; social media platforms; email marketing and web platforms. Knowledge of HTML and CRM software a plus)

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Supports NKF's mission by coordinating the efforts of volunteers, partners, and stakeholders. Engages in project management activities to ensure smooth execution of initiatives and builds relationships that strengthen NKF's impact in the community

WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION

Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness while possessing a high degree of tact, discretion, and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintain effectiveness under pressure. Competency in use of a telephone, computer, photocopier, and other standard office equipment. Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed. Available for overnight business travel. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
