We provide end-to-end IT services to all staff in the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA). DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position you will deliver, assemble, install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, equipment, and peripherals for departments that provide essential human programs and benefits throughout the Commonwealth. This IT service covers a wide range of devices such as desktop clients, mobile devices, and tablets. It involves various operating systems, office productivity applications, enterprise applications, third-party software, email access, internet and intranet connectivity, network connections, remote VPN connections, smartphones, mobile apps, printing devices, network cabling, and peripheral devices. Installation, setup, configuration, support, and documentation for each component category are necessary for this service.
In addition to receiving calls, emails, and tickets for assistance, you will also be responsible for accessing users' computers to collect diagnostics and to resolve hardware and software issues. With our team, you will act as a bridge between the IT department and end users during the problem-solving process.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. You must come into the office twice per week at a minimum. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orThree years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; orOne year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.
