Title: Backend ETL Tester Terms of Employment • Contract, 12 Months • This position is remote. Candidates must be based in Eastern or Central time zones. Candidates based in a commutable distance to Reston, VA will be prioritized. • Candidates must be comfortable traveling to Reston, VA roughly once per quarter for PI planning activities. Overview & Responsibilities We are seeking highly skilled Senior Backend Test Engineers to join a dynamic team at a leading health insurance provider. The role focuses on backend testing, automation, and ETL testing to support data migration projects, including the transition from DB2 to MongoDB. These professionals will work in an agile environment to ensure the integrity, functionality, and quality of complex data transformations and integrations. Key responsibilities include: • Designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios from scratch. • Creating and utilizing complex SQL queries to validate and verify backend processes. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to review requirements, write defects, and contribute to agile ceremonies. • Conducting ETL testing, including processing and transforming large datasets for migration and organization. • Developing and automating test cases using Java and Jenkins. • Performing API testing and contributing to integration test strategies. • Mapping requirements to test cases and ensuring comprehensive coverage of test scenarios. • Actively participating in fast-paced team collaborations and effectively communicating technical details to stakeholders.
