ATA Services, Inc. is currently seeking to hire an experienced Information Systems Tech to work on a temporary assignment. This position is NOT remote, it's in-office in Albuquerque, NM.
- Pay Rate: $22.59 per hour with weekly pay
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Location: Albuquerque, NM
- Requirements: Must pass drug test and background check
Position Summary:
To assist in providing technical support for a variety of hardware, software and peripheral equipment to upgrade existing hardware and software; to correct reported hardware and/or software problems; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide technical support for a variety of computer equipment including hardware, software and related equipment.
- Diagnose and recommend corrective actions to remedy software and/or hardware problems
- Participate in the planning, implementation and installation of new systems based upon City and user needs
- Receive and analyze requests for services; coordinate with staff members to fill requests.
- Provide end users and DTI management with a wide variety of reports and data to enhance their ability to react effectively to their needs.
- Upgrade existing hardware and/or software; convert data files from one computer platform to another; support the restoration and reconfiguration of systems
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of information systems
- Maintain system security for the City's mainframe system
- Maintain system documentation
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in information systems, computer science or a related field, plus one (1) year of information systems experience.
