Job Description

Long term contract to probable hire - BOSTON
1. Work with end users to map out and document business requirements
2. Translate business requirements into functional specifications
3. Develop and execute testing procedures
4. Prepare and deploy test cases
5. Work with development group to ensure that all design questions (e.g., application security, data feeds, etc.) are addressed through the business analysis process
6. Support project tracking and monitoring
7. Manage low complexity projects (e.g., non-political, data/workflow oriented)
8. Serve as subject matter, process, and/or operational proxy for end users in area of focus
9. Write Stored Procedures
10. Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements
11. Take on other software development group responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

1. A bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Computer Science is desirable
2. Minimum of two years demonstrated experience with writing functional specifications
3. Ability to work with non-technical end users to interpret user requirements
4. Working knowledge of investment terminology and Microsoft SQL Server
5. Knowledge of database, system design, and technical architecture concepts
6. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and different development models
7. Minimum of two years demonstrated experience with writing test plans/test scripts
8. Experience with Security Master data would be a plus
9. Ability to lead and direct the work of others
