Full Stack Software Developer

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

The Full Stack Software Developer (Computer Scientist III) will design and build business and test management applications, building both the frontend user interface and the backend business logic.

What You Will Do With JT4

The Full Stack Software Developer (Computer Scientist III) will design and build business and test management applications, building both the frontend user interface and the backend business logic.

Responsibilities

• Interpret user stories, requirements, and procedures
• Advise team and project managers on technical problems
• Work independently of direct supervision on projects of high complexity
• Develop design of system/software and associated design documentation
• Implement design through software coding and appropriately document the design implementation
• Plan and execute unit, integration, and system testing
• Participate in maintenance and sustainment activities of software
• Provide work direction or other guidance to subordinate technical staff
• Perform other job-related duties, as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Backend programming in Python (particularly Django ORM)
• Frontend programming using JavaScript frameworks (Vue)
• Version control and documentation using common industry collaboration tools, (Gitlab, Jira, Confluence)
• DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies
• Agile development methodology
• Web Application Programming Interfaces, (RESTful)
• Effective oral and written communication and organization/planning and time management

Additional Valuable Skills

• Microsoft coding frameworks, (C#, .NET CORE, ASP.net)
• DoD Developmental Test & Evaluation Community Experience
• SQL Database tools (Oracle SQL Developer)
• Containerization, (Docker, Podman)
• NoSQL databases, (PostGRES, MongoDB)
• Waterfall development methodology

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field with four years of relevant experience. Or a master's degree in an associated discipline with two years of experience or a PhD in an associated discipline. The candidate must possess a valid, state issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $123,000 to $149,000 annually.

JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required.

Occasional travel to remote company work locations may be required.
