The Quality System Engineer I, is responsible for ensuring the Organization meets the established goals, KPI's, maintains compliance to the QMS (Quality management system) thru audit, communication, and collaboration with cross functional teams and Management. Verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of the Organization. Communicate effectively within all levels of organization to discuss and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
Required Education:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• 0 to 3+ years of experience in manufacturing related job
• Experience in a Quality or Manufacturing role in a fast paced environment, including internship
• Capability to find improvement ideas for increased component yield and comprehensive inspections
• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and technical presentations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to multitask and solve complex problems
Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Bilingual (Korean/English) or Multilingual (Korean/English/Japanese) proficiency
• Proficient in Minitab programs
• Knowledge of automated equipment troubleshooting and production analysis
• Battery production related knowledge
• Knowledge of IAFT 16949 standards
• Understanding of control plans, Critical to Quality (CTQ), Capable to Promise (CTP), and core tools of the automotive industry
• Co-op experience
Additional Requirements:
• Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
• Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments
• Hands-on support of equipment
• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary
• This role requires up to 20% of travel (domestic and/or international)
Responsibilities :
• Perform Data Analysis and issue reports for the Quality Division
• Lead and or assist the Customer New Model Development approval process and communicate between cross functional teams and Customer
• Work with cross functional Teams to expediate compliance resolution and prevention recurrence
• Window person to the Global Team to share information within the organization
• Applied knowledge of Quality Systems, Tools and Documentation in the Manufacturing environment
• Lead IATF16949 Certification
• Process documentation management
• Schedule and perform internal audits and support organization quality standard compliance
• Communicate KPI, daily/weekly reports to Management and cross functional teams
• Ensure compliance with Health/Safety/Environmental/and Fire regulations
• Champion a work environment focused on quality, communication, collaboration, integration, and team collaboration
• Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S standards: Sort, Set in, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
• Perform various other duties and projects as assigned
