- Assist Accounting Manager and Controller with day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, financial reporting, product costing, and results analysis.
- Assist in monitoring, analyzing, preparing and reporting financial performance.
- Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, fixed assets and inventory-related accounts
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Prepare and file sales and use tax
- Assist with general ledger entries and reconciling and balancing accounts.
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent; preferably in Accounting, Finance or other closely related field.
- 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience (public or private accounting).
- Knowledge of accounting/auditing principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Expert technology and computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
