Job Summary

The Technical Analyst leverages technical expertise and analytical skills to deliver solutions that

enhance user experience and increase operational efficiency. Through partnerships with

stakeholders, peers, and software vendors, this role provides reliable, scalable solutions that

enable effective workflows and ensure end-to-end data accuracy.

Through a blend of data literacy, analytical thinking, and technical skills, the Technical Analyst

transforms technology requests into actionable technical specifications for development, focusing

on connecting data and functionality to unlock valuable business insights. This role is pivotal to

maintaining configurations, data integrity, and integrations, and the ongoing evolution of Kappa

Delta's software platforms and functional capabilities.

Essential Functions

Technology Roadmap Execution

• Executes the technology roadmap for a set of software functions or features.

• Collaborates with peers and stakeholders on a request backlog, prioritizing releases based on

business value and technical feasibility.

• Develops deep functional and technical understanding of software to identify areas for

improvement and innovation.

• Participates in all phases of software development, from conceptualization to deployment and

maintenance.

Technical Solution Design

• Partners closely with vendors, peers, and subject matter experts to design solutions utilizing

the Kappa Delta technology stack.

• Translates business and operational requirements into functional specifications for

configuration and development teams to execute.

• Collaborates on and follows the Kappa Delta software development playbook to ensure consistent

architecture and management across technologies.

Technical Execution

• Completes configuration and development work as an individual contributor or collaborator based

on the project and resources. May lead a vendor project or do independent work.

• Completes functional testing and data validation using systems understanding, expert analytical

skills, and technical fluency.

• Supports peers with cross-software assistance as needed, ensuring consistency in development

practices and execution.

• Manages integrations between software platforms, ensuring accurate data exchange and workflow

reliability.


Documentation & Support

• Creates and maintains comprehensive software documentation, including process maps, data models,

data flows, technical specifications, references, and user manuals.

• Supports the user base with issues reported to the Kappa Delta help desk.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; master's degree

preferred.

• 5-7 years of experience as a technical analyst, software analyst, quality assurance analyst, or

similar technical role.

• Working understanding of enterprise platforms, integrations, and connectors such as Salesforce,

AWS, Google Workspace, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Domo.

• Experience with data modeling, data mapping, data transformation, ETL concepts, or API-based

integrations.

• Experience with form design, basic logic/workflow building, and user experience design.

• Working knowledge of Apex/JavaScript in a Salesforce or similar environment.

• Understanding of data types, joins, data flows, and basic statistics.

• Ability to use scripting (JavaScript, Python) to support data validation or process

automation.

• Strong technical literacy and ability to understand complex systems and data flows.

• Skill in identifying and articulating technical risks, dependencies, and data

inconsistencies.

• Ability to think logically about system dependencies and the user impact of technical

changes.

• Technical requirements management, functional testing, and release management.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, especially in technical documentation.

• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

• Strong curiosity and ownership mindset toward improving platform reliability and data

integrity.

• Experience with sorority or fraternity member experiences is helpful.
