Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Java Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of mission-critical financial applications. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders in a client-facing environment.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience building scalable, distributed systems within regulated financial services domains.
Required Experience & Qualifications
12+ years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably within financial institutions
Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
Strong experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and high-volume transaction processing
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, and SQL/NoSQL databases
Strong domain knowledge in Core Banking, Payments, or Wealth Management
Proven track record leading system integration and large-scale migration projects
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise software design and delivery for business-critical financial systems
Architect and oversee distributed systems and data pipelines supporting high transaction volumes
Drive technical compliance and support regulatory initiatives
Mentor, guide, and lead cross-functional engineering teams
Partner with business stakeholders to deliver analytics-driven solutions and platform optimizations
Ensure best practices in system reliability, performance, and security
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation
Prior experience in client-facing or consulting environments
