Job Title: SAP VIM Consultant (OpenText)

Experience Level: Senior (5+ years)
Location: Local candidates preferred
Engagement Type: Contract / W2 / C2C (as applicable)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior SAP VIM Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP VIM configuration and implementation. The role involves production support, enhancements, and continuous improvement of invoice processing solutions within an AMS support model.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in SAP VIM, OpenText integration, incident and change management, and can work effectively with onshore and offshore teams while meeting SLA commitments.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of recent hands-on experience in SAP VIM implementation and support

Strong expertise in SAP VIM configuration and customization

Experience supporting production issues and enhancements

Familiarity with AMS delivery models and ServiceNow ticketing

Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams

Local candidates preferred

Key Responsibilities
Incident & Problem Management

Monitor, analyze, and resolve SAP VIM incidents and problems within defined SLAs

Troubleshoot complex issues related to invoice processing, workflows, and OpenText integration

Change & Enhancement Management

Gather business requirements and design SAP VIM enhancements

Implement change requests related to invoice automation, validation rules, and business workflows

System Configuration & Customization

Configure SAP VIM components including DP document types, business rules, workflows, and exception handling

Perform enhancements using ABAP, BAPIs, and OpenText customizations as required

Integration & Interface Support

Support integrations between SAP VIM, OpenText, and SAP ECC / S/4HANA modules (MM, FI, AP)

Handle EDI/XML-based invoice processing and third-party vendor integrations

Performance Optimization & Monitoring

Analyze system performance and optimize invoice processing efficiency

Identify and resolve workflow and document processing bottlenecks

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with business users, functional consultants, and offshore teams

Provide user training, knowledge transfer, and technical documentation

Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with security policies, SOX controls, and audit requirements

Support system upgrades, patching, and OpenText/VIM version updates

Testing & Validation

Perform unit testing, SIT, and support UAT activities

Validate invoice automation scenarios including duplicate checks and approval workflows

Operational Support

Work on Incidents, Service Requests, and Problem tickets raised via ServiceNow

Resolve tickets within SLAs and respond promptly to stakeholder queries

Coordinate closely with offshore teams to ensure smooth delivery and continuity
