Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Specialist to provide expert-level knowledge and services in networking and fiber optic communications systems. This position will be full-time contract and onsite.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnosing and repairing systems and their components

  • Utilizing systems engineering best practices and methods

  • Performing data gathering, analysis, and writing detailed reports

  • Analyzing problems, developing solutions, and executing resolutions

  • Driving to various locations to perform required services

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in their area of expertise with networking and fiber optic communications systems

  • Experience with Security and access control systems

  • Experience with Closed-circuit television (CCTV) video surveillance systems

  • Experience with Raytheon toll system

  • Experience with Conduent (Xerox) toll system

  • Experience with Maintenance on-line management system (MOMS)

  • Experience with Mechanical engineering

  • Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems

  • Experience with Mechanical engineering and building systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational, phone, and communication skills

  • Availability to work weekends and overtime when requested

Preferred:

  • Advanced training and education in the area of specialty or equivalent experience from on-the-job training

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

  • Driving to various locations may be required
