Job Description
Location: Birmingham, AL Position Title: Scrum Master (BHM-37-SM) Job Description: Ensure enterprise software project management standards, methodology and best practices are followed and consistently applied. Lead project teams and related implementation activities through the sprints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the project roadmap is defined and captured in the backlog. Communicate project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner. Act as an adhesive between business and technical staff at the team level. Maintain relationships with key business and IT stakeholders. Understand the business process viewpoint during issue reviews, planning and implementation sessions. Responsible for understanding and ensuring backlogs are up to date and accurate, healthy. Drive the appropriate level of project governance to ensure risks, issues and critical dependencies are being addressed. Experience with project planning, issue and risk management; resolves project issues and works with the project team to identify risk mitigation plans. Assist with analysis, design, testing, system documentation and training. Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of business processes and applications, requirements, customer needs and priorities. Multiple positions available. Travel required up to 25% for internal meetings and client sites. Telecommuting is permitted. Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of relevant experience. Must have the following certifications: - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification. - Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner Must have at least two (2) years of experience with the following: - Project Management in a software development environment. - Project planning, issue and risk management; resolves project issues and works with the Project team to identify risk mitigation plans - Analysis, design, testing, system documentation and training.
