Job Title: Mainframe IMS Admin Location: Plano, Texas 75024 (ON-SITE) Hiring Mode: Contract Duration: 6 months (Initial), potential extension up to 24 months Interview Type: Webcam/Online Pay Range: $90-$95/hr Role Summary The Mainframe IMS Admin - L3 will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, configuring, and tuning Mainframe IMS environments. This role involves complex database administration tasks, debugging, and problem analysis in a high-availability enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and support Mainframe IMS administration Administer mainframe IMS database systems and supporting products Perform installations, configurations, and fine-tuning of IMS environments Conduct debugging and root cause analysis of system issues Execute complex database changes and application implementations Design and complete Database Administration maintenance tasks Analyze, test, and implement changes to database software and systems Perform performance tuning of IMS databases Mentor junior database administrators Collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve data flow and content issues Work within incident and change management principles and best practices Top 5 Technical Must-Haves: Deep expertise in Mainframe IMS administration Experience with IMS database systems and supporting tools Installation, configuration, and fine-tuning of IMS environments Strong debugging and performance tuning skills Ability to analyze and implement complex database enhancements Required Skills IMS Mainframe Administration (L3 Level) Database maintenance, support, and performance tuning Incident and change management Application implementation and database change execution Mentorship and collaboration with technical teams
