Job Description

Role Summary:

We are looking for a strong Data Modeler with hands-on experience in the Life & Annuity insurance domain, with deeper focus on Annuity products. The role involves designing and maintaining data models that support reporting, analytics, and downstream systems across insurance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Life & Annuity systems

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand Annuity product structures and data flows

Model data related to policies, contracts, riders, premiums, payouts, commissions, and servicing

Translate business requirements into scalable and compliant data models

Support data integration from policy admin systems to data warehouses and reporting platforms

Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to industry standards

Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analytics teams

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience as a Data Modeler in the insurance domain

Mandatory hands-on experience in Life & Annuity, with solid Annuity exposure

Deep understanding of Annuity concepts such as:

Fixed, Variable, and Indexed Annuities

Accumulation vs payout phase

Riders, surrender charges, withdrawals, and annuitization

Experience creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models

Proficiency with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar

Strong SQL knowledge and understanding of relational databases

Experience working with data warehouses and reporting systems

Ability to work with business and technical teams

Good to Have

Experience with policy administration systems (LifePro, Vantage, ALIP, CyberLife, etc.)

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance reporting in insurance

Experience in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
