Position title : Epic Orders Analyst Location : Sacramento, CA (Hybrid) Duration : 6 Months Contract Job Summary Information Technology is seeking an experienced Epic Orders BuildAnalyst to support the ongoing update of Epic order sets. This role involvescollaborating with clinicians, application analysts, and operationalstakeholders to ensure that order sets align with current best practices forpatient care. The Epic Orders Build Analyst will be responsible for gatheringrequirements, performing build activities, and conducting testing toimplement updates. You will also be involved in facilitating meetings,managing technical implementations, and supporting user adoption ofchanges. The position requires proficiency in Epic order set build, as well asstrong communication and problem-solving skills. This role is crucial forensuring that order set updates meet clinical and operational needs whilemaintaining system functionality. Responsibilities Work with application analysts and operational stakeholders tocollect requirements for updating and maintaining Epic order setbuilds. Gather and document orders-related enhancement buildrequirements from clinical stakeholders and implement them intoEpic environments. Perform build activities throughout the software developmentlifecycle, ensuring the timely and efficient implementation ofnecessary updates. Facilitate meetings, providing necessary agendas and meetingminutes for effective technical implementations and user adoption. Collaborate with operations to identify and implement keyperformance indicators (KPIs) for measuring the success of theupdates. Provide weekly status reports to project leadership on the progressof assignments and any escalations. Perform testing of orders, collaborating with operationalstakeholders to ensure proper execution and functionality. Partner with IT leadership to escalate issues to program governancewhen necessary for resolution. Work closely with clinical customers to implement and providetraining for any updates or changes in order sets. Required Technical Experience Epic Certification: Epic Orders Certification is required. Epic Order Set Build: At least 10 years of experience in Epic application build and support, specifically with Epic order set builds. Technical Skills: Proficiency in implementing Epic order set changes and enhancements within Epic EMR systems. Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clinical end users, IT teams, and other stakeholders. Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Familiarity with the processes of design, build, testing, and implementation of application changes in an Epic environment.
