Reporting to the Director of Technology, your task will be to help in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Royal Society of Biology's extensive suite of cloud-based applications and services , many of which are in-house developments. You will also help to support the users and respond to some support queries.We make heavy use of the AWS cloud , including services such as EC2, SES, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront. A key part of the role is to stand in for the Director of Technology in his absence and to become intimately familiar with the ins and outs of the core business systems and services as part of the business continuity planning. You will often be able to work from home/remotely, but will be required to attend the London office as required to carry out in-person or on-site duties and meetings from time to time.
