Description and Requirements The Technical Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for accelerating Lenovo's ThinkAgile MX and Azure Local business by driving pipeline growth, enabling both sellers and partners, and strengthening strategic relationships with Microsoft and customers. This role blends technical expertise, business development, alliance management, and go-to-market execution to expand revenue, grow market share, and increase customer adoption of Lenovo's hybrid cloud, AI-ready, and edge infrastructure solutions. Lenovo is seeking a highly motivated business and technology leader who can translate the value of Lenovo's ThinkAgile MX and Azure Local portfolio into meaningful customer outcomes, drive sales execution, and further enhance Lenovo's strategic partnership with Microsoft. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, leveraging technical acumen and market insight to identify opportunities, accelerate solution adoption, and deliver measurable business results. Key Responsibilities Business Growth Drive revenue, pipeline, and market share growth for ThinkAgile MX and Azure Local. Identify new opportunities within hybrid cloud, AI, edge, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. Support sales teams in advancing strategic opportunities and closing business. Technical Leadership Serve as Lenovo's technical expert for ThinkAgile MX and Azure Local solutions. Lead customer discovery, solution positioning, and executive presentations. Support solution architecture discussions, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements. Microsoft & Partner Engagement Build and execute joint go-to-market plans with Microsoft. Align with Microsoft sellers, specialists, and partner teams to drive co-sell opportunities. Leverage Microsoft programs, incentives, and funding to accelerate growth. Seller & Channel Enablement Equip Lenovo and partner sellers with technical knowledge, competitive positioning, and customer value messaging. Support demand generation activities, events, and marketing campaigns. Customer & Executive Engagement Engage directly with customers and partners to understand business challenges and align Lenovo solutions. Build executive relationships that drive long-term business growth and strategic wins. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years of experience in technical business development, solution sales, sales engineering, alliance management, or a related customer-facing role. Experience with hybrid cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), or data center technologies. Demonstrated success driving pipeline development, sales growth, or go-to-market initiatives in a technology organization. Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, Azure Local, cloud infrastructure, or related Microsoft technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Lenovo ThinkAgile, Azure Local, Azure Stack HCI, hybrid cloud platforms, or converged/hyperconverged infrastructure solutions. Previous experience working closely with Microsoft field teams, alliance organizations, or partner ecosystems. Knowledge of AI-ready infrastructure, edge computing, cloud-native architectures, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. Experience presenting technical and business solutions to customers, partners, and executive stakeholders. Proven ability to collaborate across sales, product, marketing, engineering, and partner organizations. Experience leading joint go-to-market programs, co-sell motions, or strategic technology partnerships. Strong understanding of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud operations. Experience supporting proof-of-concepts (POCs), technical workshops, solution design sessions, and customer briefings. Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Infrastructure, or related credentials.
