We are looking for an innovative and self-starting Commercial Pricing Analyst to support driving our business's competitiveness and profitability. A recently established function in Version 1, this position will be a key enabler in accelerating our business growth and success. This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop into a senior member of the Commercial Pricing team as the function expands. In this role you will typically support a more senior Commercial Pricing professional on some of Version 1 s most strategic pursuits or lead the financial stream of your own pursuits when required. Your role will be key in driving the pricing strategy on a particular pursuit and helping to ensure that standardised pricing models are used to optimise deal wins, value delivery and deal profitability. You should be an experienced finance professional ideally with 5+ years of experience of deal pricing in the IT services industry. Your responsibilities will include: Preparation of client pricing models as well as conducting sensitivity and data analysis on Version 1 s cost base for a particular pursuit. Preparation of P&L / Cash Flow and other key financial indicators to enable decision making for our leadership team. Apply statistical modelling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability. Articulate and present key financial risks within our opportunities to make sure they are well understood and what mitigations are in place. Presenting the deal financial summary to our leadership team and wider stakeholders in a clear, unambiguous way. Forecast revenue potential and market share based on market trends, costs, profit margins, and sales volumes. Use industry experience to define win prices: utilise benchmarking, previous deal data, customer budgets and business case analysis. Keep informed on general pricing analysis methods and industry trends and translate into evolutions of our pricing strategies. Maintain a close watch on competitor pricing and bid outcomes, conducting relevant analysis and determining appropriate pricing positioning for specific bids and other opportunity circumstances. Qualifications Commercial and analytical experience evidence of working on complex deals in IT Services would be desirable. A minimum of five years' experience as a pricing professional and possess good knowledge of our industry, specifically as it relates to market and competitor positioning, offerings, pricing approaches & strategies, and general trends Ideally experience in developing, analysing and executing pricing proposals In-depth knowledge of relevant statistical methods and data analysis techniques Proficiency in data modelling using Excel and/or other relevant toolsets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to influence key stakeholders. Effective reporting and presentation skills Enthusiastic and proactive team player. Desirable Qualifications Strong problem-solving capabilities. Experience of AI tools used in pricing operations Ideally possess an accounting-based qualification Drive to become the lead authority on pricing at Version 1 and build a scalable function to support significant growth objectives.
