Lonza is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, highly available network infrastructure across our biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing sites. In this role, you will manage LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks that underpin GMP production, R&D, and corporate systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and enforce network security and compliance standards. Partnering with global IT, operations, and quality teams, you will support validated systems, participate in change control, and contribute to projects that enable reliable connectivity for life-changing therapies worldwide. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, and remote access networks for Lonza sites. Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions to ensure secure, reliable connectivity. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve complex connectivity and security issues. Implement and enforce security, segmentation, and access control aligned with GMP and corporate standards. Support validated systems, documentation, and change control processes in regulated environments. Collaborate with global IT, operations, and quality teams on network projects and technology upgrades. Participate in on-call support and incident response to minimize downtime for manufacturing and R&D operations.
