Since 1971, Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff has been a meeting place for people and for ideas. More than forty years later, it is regarded as one of the most successful multi-disciplinary arts organisations in the UK and a major centre for the contemporary arts in Europe. Two theatres, two cinema screens, a gallery, workspaces for artists, meeting rooms for the community and a busy café bar are housed in its premises, a 1905 school building refurbished in an award-winning conversion in 2009.
