Job Description We're seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to join an aerospace/avionics manufacturing team. This full-time, onsite role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting embedded software for advanced aircraft cockpit and avionics systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain embedded software for avionics equipment and aircraft control systems. Perform software debugging, verification, integration testing, and root-cause analysis. Collaborate with hardware, electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineering teams. Participate in code reviews, software architecture, technical documentation, and product improvements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of professional embedded software development experience, preferably in aerospace, avionics, defense, or electronics. Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and working knowledge of assembly language. Experience with embedded systems, real-time software, microprocessors, and microcontrollers. Knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing, verification, debugging, and configuration management. Experience troubleshooting hardware/software integration issues and performing root-cause analysis. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and engineering specifications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Commercial aviation or avionics software development experience. Knowledge of DO-178 software standards and safety-critical systems. Experience with DSP, RTOS, embedded audio systems, and aircraft communication protocols such as ARINC 429, CAN, or RS-232/422/485. Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, and other electronic test equipment.
