Summary: We are seeking individuals with experience and a passion for software integration and testing of real-time, embedded software. The Software Integration Engineer plans and performs a variety of tasks across the areas of integrating hardware modules into a combat vehicle system, integrating software items onto Linux Operating Systems, scripting, networking, cybersecurity hardening and scans, troubleshooting, problem solving, and software verification testing. Duties: • Integrates and tests software applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and hardware components on a combat vehicle system • Applies knowledge of Ethernet and CAN bus within software applications or tools to test and troubleshoot problems • Collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering and vehicle test teams to investigate reported issues and analyze collected data • Ensures that technical approach is consistent with established engineering principles and practices • Ensures that product outcomes meet customer needs and that customer and company technical, system, performance, process, and quality requirements are met Skills Required: • Integration and testing of software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems • Ability to build and maintain a software and hardware integration testbed • Understanding of Ethernet and CAN bus protocols • Git and Jira/Gitlab Configuration Management tools • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are a MUST • Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines • Ability to apply critical thinking to solve technical design and development problems • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems • Ability to travel to the customer site • Ability to work on combat vehicles systems.
