Job description: The Field Network Engineer use their technical knowledge to install, configure, and customize healthcare infrastructure systems after an initial purchase of hardware or software. _ To be considered for this role, candidates must reside within IL, WI, IA, MO, _ _ Location of work may vary across the United States. _ Travel Requirements This is a 90% travel position. Monday morning through Friday afternoon on the road Home most weekends Overnight hotel stays Monday-Thursday Company vehicle provided Hotels, airfare (when applicable), fuel, meals, and travel expenses are company paid Responsibilities: Assess and remediate existing infrastructure to support installation of new solution. May also perform installation, validation, and connectivity on assigned equipment. Leverage technical knowledge to install, monitor, and customize clients' systems after an initial purchase of hardware or software. Ensure a client doesn't only buy a product but has a positive experience with it. Collaborate and partner with Sales, Project Manager, Network Design and Digital services, customer IT and biomed to implement solutions sold. Consulting with IT and biomed on customer requirements for installation and address cyber security concerns. Function as co-lead; develop and maintain strong relationships and frequent communications with customers and sales to proactively identify customer needs, ensure resolution, proper follow-up, and ongoing customer satisfaction. Responsible for prompt administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, technical project plans, technical walk thru and post warranty conversations with customer. Manage vendor service as needed. Mentoring and coaching local FE on installed solution. Providing instruction to personnel on equipment operation, diagnostics, effective use, and repair. Supports engineering new product releases Desired Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in IT 1-3 years of experience in installing and configuring network equipment Certified in CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCWA Bachelors or associates degree or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience with communicating and remediating networking infrastructure Demonstrated experience implementing disaster recovery procedures Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems Understanding of cyber security vulnerabilities Strong written and oral communication skills Comfortability working in a healthcare setting Special Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Other Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License. xibtplm Willingness to be available "after hours", including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as necessary.
