KARM Stores seeks an IT Technician to support our Christ-centered, mission-driven thrift-store ministry across East Tennessee. In this role, you'll provide hands-on technical support for store and office staff, ensuring POS systems, computers, printers, mobile devices, and networks run smoothly. You'll troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, maintain basic network equipment, manage user accounts, and document work. You'll travel to local stores as needed, train staff on technology use, and help keep systems reliable so KARM can serve the homeless and community effectively. Responsibilities Provide on-site and remote technical support for store and office staff Install, configure, and maintain POS systems, computers, printers, and mobile devices Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across multiple retail locations Monitor and maintain Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and basic network equipment Support user account management, access permissions, and basic security best practices Document issues, solutions, and system inventory in an organized, timely manner Coordinate with vendors and external IT partners when escalations are needed Train staff on basic technology use, systems, and safe computing practices Support technology used for donations processing, inventory, and reporting Uphold KARM's Christ-centered, mission-driven culture in daily work and interactions Required Skills Hardware and software troubleshooting Windows OS administration POS system support Basic networking (TCP/IP, routers, switches) User account and permission management Ticketing and documentation systems Remote support tools Printer and peripheral setup and repair Wi-Fi setup and troubleshooting Customer service and communication

Support management teams by making sure computers, printers, and other hardware is working effectively and efficiently in the different departments and locations. Support and address mobile/IOS devices, in a timely manner. Oversee installation of internet and other tech services in all locations as needed. Work with members of management to troubleshoot issues. Flexible availability in order to help in the case of an emergency (loss of internet, credit card terminals, etc.). Skills & Requirements Must have a valid driver license and acceptable driving record. Must be a people person with a pleasant and willing attitude and have a servants heart. Must have a friendly, smiling demeanor. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an excellent command of the English language. Ability to write in legible clear handwriting.
