Specific duties include the following: Define, develop, and implement the overall business intelligence (BI) reporting architecture. Define design patterns, visualization best practices, code standards, and documentation standards. Collaborate with key business users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery. Collaborate with other team members in creating an optimized, maintainable, and scalable reporting and analytics architecture, dashboards, and reports. Act proactively in identifying issues and opportunities that will have an impact on the business use of reporting solutions and provides recommendations to leadership and business partners as appropriate. Maintain the Incorta data analytics platform. Oversee the analysis and development required to create Incorta schema objects, reports, and dashboards. Provide Incorta administration support of environment. Troubleshoot system issues and provide recommendations on platform improvement based on trends identified by the technical team. Share knowledge with IT team for best practices and encourage increased utilization. Provide technical support throughout application lifecycle, including implementation and ongoing maintenance. Generate appropriate unit test plans and assure quality of work. Provide support for all phases of testing such as integration testing and user acceptance testing. Serve as escalation point for application and support troubleshooting elevated by technical team. Communicate proactively and effectively (oral and written) at multiple levels within the organization, with Customers, Suppliers, and industry leaders. Lead a team of external and internal team of BI developers. Utilizing an offshore support model, coordinate a team of 4 BI developers who provide data connection, schema, business schema and report development support. Lead the same team in developing an operational support model to cover aspects of data refresh and load monitoring, environment maintenance, object promotion and performance monitoring. Use a variety of other tools and technologies, including Incorta, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP C/4 HANA, SAP MDM, Python Programming, SQL, Spark, data warehousing, Dimensional modeling, report development, and visualization techniques. This is not a personnel manager position; this position is a hands-on technical role. The position does not have hiring, firing, disciplinary, or budgeting responsibilities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or an Information Technology field and 6 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in designing and implementing data warehousing and data visualization solutions, including: Data modeling and design, data migration, transformation, and extraction of data from ERP/Data sources (SAP S/4 HANA and SAP C/4 HANA); Incorta administration and development (managing, developing, and maintaining Incorta schemas, reports, and dashboards); Managing and extracting data from SAP S/4 HANA, working with technical architecture and data structures; Work with SAP C/4 HANA data management and integration capabilities; Development and implementation of SAP MDM practices, ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance across the organization; Programming in Python for data analysis, scripting, automation, and integration tasks; Work with SQL and Spark for large-scale data processing and transformation; Work with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, report development, and visualization techniques. Experience must include at least 2 years in a team lead or technical project management role, including mentorship of developers. Position is based at the Company headquarters located in Schaumburg, Illinois, but employee may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Up to 20% national travel to company and client sites required. Compensation: $150,000 to $175,000/yr and benefits including insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, disability), PTO, 401k and profit sharing.
