This is a critical role for an industry professional who excels at identifying public and private project opportunities and aligning market intelligence with internal operations to secure major project wins. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Market Intelligence Identify and track potential project opportunities through sophisticated market research and competitor analysis. Analyze funding sources, procurement timelines, and capital improvement programs to inform long-term strategy. Manage accurate CRM records to track all leads and active pursuits. Relationship Management & Networking Build and maintain robust relationships with public agencies, developers, and industry partners. Represent the company at industry events and trade associations to increase market visibility. Operational Alignment & Execution Convert qualified leads into active project wins by collaborating with field operations, estimating, and project management. Support the development of high-impact proposals and presentations for client interviews. Required Qualifications Experience & Education Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, estimating, or project management within the construction sector. Deep knowledge of public/private delivery methods (CMAR, Design-Build, JOC) and the Arizona market. Skills Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities. Strong analytical skills for assessing market positioning and competitive landscapes. Proficiency in CRM systems (Unanet preferred) and MS Office Suite. Logistics & Working Conditions Based in a professional office environment in the Phoenix area. Regular local travel required for client engagement, industry meetings, and events. Occasional attendance at early morning, evening, or weekend networking functions.
