Job DescriptionJob Description Business Development Manager - Signage Division Sales Company Location: Denver, NC, US (Remote/Hybrid) About Us Lakeside Sign Company a high-growth, mission-driven facilities maintenance and signage company seeking a Business Development Manager to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. Position Overview The Business Development Manager is responsible for consistently achieving their monthly revenue growth quotas with assigned existing and new clients. The position will build strong relationships and innovative signage programs to penetrate and capture recurring monthly revenue with all clients. The Business Development Manager will develop and use individual client account plans to effectively focus their time with clients, build their monthly pipeline of opportunities, and utilize their resources to meet daily performance expectations. The position will continuously develop their industry/company/product knowledge and sales capabilities, and support the development of Lakeside Sign's sales organization, company capabilities, and annual objectives. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving signage sales by preparing accurate estimates and bids, providing technical expertise, and managing the sales process for signage projects. This role involves some prospecting for new business, engineering solutions, pricing projects competitively, and ensuring successful handoff to production and installation teams. This position requires strong collaboration with operations, project management, and customers to deliver tailored solutions. Occasional travel may be required for site visits and client meetings. Key Responsibilities: Quota Achievement Identify and qualify daily new revenue opportunities with assigned existing and new accounts. Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities to consistently meet monthly revenue quota. Advance, close, and leverage client revenue opportunities daily using internal/external resources. Relationship Building & Client Development Build individual and company relationships with client decision-makers, influencers, and coaches. Routinely attend and support key client and industry tradeshows, conferences, and other events. Develop understanding for each client's signage needs/objectives, processes, and resources. Create, communicate, and update individual account plans with client and company representatives. Conduct individual client review meetings to discuss successes, challenges, and new opportunities. Sales Management Update contacts, accounts, activities, and opportunities in company's CRM program each day. Prepare, participate, and support individual coaching, sales team, and performance review meetings. Create and complete annual professional development plan with supervisor and other resources. Complete all sales responsibilities for assigned client projects promptly, accurately, and thoroughly. Coordinate closely with Project Management to exceed each assigned client's service expectations. Provide Artwork, Estimating, Production, and other company departments with direction and support. What you MUST have (Qualifications): High school diploma required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred 3+ years of experience in selling - preferably in the sign business Proven experience in estimating, bidding, or technical sales within the signage or construction industries Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar) and strong Microsoft Office skills Self-motivated, team-oriented, and focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences Solid experience hunting for new business, prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing; commercial sign experience preferred Sign sales experience preferred - has built relationships w/ builders, contractors, architecture/new construction Experience working in Salesforce strongly preferred Proven achievement of exceeding sales quota/track record of success (able to prove their sales achievements) Demonstrated experience interpreting technical drawings, walking around a job site, and communicating your findings to technical teammates (preferred) Travel required nationwide with the ability to pass an MVR Able to work in a fluid entrepreneurial structure while maintaining excellent time management and organizational skills Preferred Skills Background in sign fabrication, installation, or related engineering disciplines Understanding of permitting processes and local signage codes Experience coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers Compensation and Benefits Full-time role with base salary plus performance-based incentives Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long-term disability, paid time off, Employee Assistance Program, and 401(k) with company match Flexible work options: remote, hybrid, or office-based Application Instructions: To apply, complete and submit the position application, attaching your resume and a cover letter highlighting your relevant technical and sales experience.
