About this position: STRMM System Administrator Location - Aberdeen, MD The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Administer SAN/NAS enterprise storage solutions. Support Microsoft Exchange environments (preferred). Monitoring, Troubleshooting & O&M Monitor systems for faults, alarms, and outages; isolate root causes and restore service. Provide Tier 2 support for escalated/networking issues. Conduct trend analysis for availability, reliability, and survivability. Coordinate with external agencies/contractors on issues beyond demarcation points. Network, Security & Performance Perform network troubleshooting with strong foundational networking experience. Apply security updates, DISA-aligned patching, and hardening standards. Utilize enterprise tools like SCOM, MECM(SCCM), and monitoring systems. Support both planned and unplanned infrastructure changes. Database & Application Support Plan, install, manage, and administer databases to ensure performance and security. Conduct database patching, configuration, and capacity management. Manage user access, permissions, and privileges. Develop backup and recovery plans. Build or knowledge to build custom SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports, queries, templates, and integrations. Maintain database documentation, data standards, and dictionaries. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, OR An associate's degree plus seven (7) total years of recent specialized experience, OR a certification plus seven (7) years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.
