Strategic Capital Group: Associate/Sr Associate, Artificial Intelligence (AI) GP Development (Value Creation Team) Location: New York I. About Investcorp: Investcorp is a global alternative investment manager founded in 1982, specializing in private equity, real assets, credit, and liquid strategies for institutional and private clients worldwide. About the Strategic Capital Group: Investcorp Strategic Capital Group (SCG) acquires minority interests in leading private market asset managers (Partner GPs) to support long-term business growth. Through its value creation function (GP Development), SCG works closely with Partner GP management teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives spanning fundraising, technology, operations, and human capital. SCG embraced the practical deployment of artificial intelligence in 2023 and now seeks an Associate, AI GP Development to enhance AI implementation across SCG's ecosystem. III. Job Summary: As a GP Development Associate/Sr Associate in the Strategic Capital Group (SCG), you will build relationships across our portfolio of private market GPs ("Partner GPs") while designing, deploying, and scaling artificial intelligence solutions to support the development of our Partner GPs' business initiatives. This role focuses on the practical application of AI, automation, and agentic workflows across a private market GP's full range of internal processes. The Associate will work closely with SCG colleagues and management at Partner GPs to identify, prototype, and manage change for AI-enabled initiatives across a firm's investment process, technology, operations, fundraising. IV. Key Responsibilities: Relationship Management: Build relationships across our portfolio of private market GPs. Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with Partner GP management teams to design and implement AI-enabled strategic initiatives across a GP's investment process, value creation, fundraising, technology, operations, and other functions. Project Management: Execute multiple GP Development and AI deployment projects simultaneously across the Partner GP portfolio. Subject Matter Expertise: Deploy subject matter expertise in fields most relevant to private market GPs such as artificial intelligence, automation, technology, investments, fundraising, operations, human capital, procurement, product development, fundraising, and firm infrastructure. Agentic Workflows & Automation: Design, build, and manage agentic workflows, including multi-agent orchestration, desktop agents, and human-in-the-loop automation to improve productivity and decision-making. Technical Execution: Develop scripts, tools, and prototypes using Python and SQL; integrate AI models and enterprise systems via APIs. AI Tools & Platforms: Leverage and evaluate leading AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot to support scalable AI adoption. Change Management and MDM: Support organizational change management related to AI adoption, including master data management (MDM), training, workflow redesign, stakeholder communication, and user enablement. CRM and Message Boards: Monitor and populate CRM systems and Partner GP message boards, tracking inquiries, initiatives, and internal follow-ups. Reporting and Tracking: Maintain databases of Partner GP interactions, AI initiatives, deliverables, and performance metrics. V. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Machine Learning, or Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree additive. Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in management consulting, private equity value creation, technology, analytics, or a related field. Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, APIs, and AI-enabled workflow development strongly preferred. Relocation assistance is available. VIII. Skills & Qualifications A. Core requirements: Problem solving: Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured, data backed approaches and actionable outputs. End to end delivery: Experience taking work from early exploration through real world deployment, including user testing and adoption. Analytical rigor: Strong AI/quantitative foundation applied to practical business decisions. Data wrangling: Hands on experience cleaning, transforming, and engineering real world datasets. Stakeholder communication: Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non technical audiences. Programming & applications: Proficiency in Python Working knowledge of SQL Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Agentic AI Experience designing, building, and supporting AI driven workflows, agents, and products. Hands on experience using one or more of Enterprise ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot. Experience applying agentic AI concepts to real business problems, including tool use, retrieval and knowledge, multi agent coordination, memory, and handoffs. Experience with agent development across one or more approaches: o Desktop and browser based agents: Building agents in tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot to automate desktop and browser workflows. o Business facing agent platforms: Building and managing agents in platforms such as Copilot Studio or similar low to moderate code environments. o SDKs: Building more customized or scalable agents using SDKs and APIs. Experience managing the agentic AI lifecycle, including: o Business requirements: Translating business needs into well scoped agent designs and delivery plans. o User testing and feedback: Running user testing, gathering feedback, and iterating based on real usage. o Risk and governance: Setting guardrails, managing permissions, and protecting sensitive data for safe deployment. o Evaluation and monitoring: Validating outputs, testing edge cases, and tracking quality, cost, and performance over time. o Adoption and enablement: Training users and creating playbooks to support adoption. o Documentation: Maintaining clear documentation for use cases, workflows, limitations, and support paths. B. Desired (but not required) qualifications: Integrations, automation, and data visualization: Comfort working with APIs and/or integrations across systems and data sources. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate. Familiarity with Power BI for analysis and dashboard creation. Cloud and data platforms: Familiarity with Databricks. Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP. Engineering best practices: Working knowledge of version control and collaborative development practices such as Git.
