This position plays a key role in protecting quality, reducing risk, and supporting long-term customer trust. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Program, operate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS at an advanced level Develop, validate, and maintain inspection programs for complex, tight-tolerance aerospace components Interpret and apply GD&T at an expert level in accordance with ASME Y14.5 Perform and support AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI) and ongoing production inspections Partner cross-functionally with machining, engineering, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues Review customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to ensure full compliance Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to dimensional nonconformance Maintain metrology best practices, calibration awareness, and inspection standards within an AS9100 environment Machines, Controls & Software You'll work closely with inspection systems and software including: Inspection & Metrology: Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM): Hexagon with Absolute ARM Metrology Software: PC-DMIS (advanced level) Engineering drawings & model-based definition AS9100 quality systems and documentation What We're Looking For Required: Extensive experience as a Metrologist or Senior CMM Programmer in an aerospace manufacturing environment Advanced PC-DMIS programming skills Expert-level GD&T knowledge with the ability to guide and mentor others Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements Proven experience inspecting complex, tight-tolerance machined components High attention to detail, integrity, and strong ownership mentality Preferred (Not Required): Experience supporting both prototype and repeat production programs Exposure to multi-axis CNC machining environments Experience collaborating directly with engineering and machining teams Materials You'll Work With Aluminum Stainless Steel Titanium Inconel and other aerospace alloys Why Machinists & Quality Professionals Like Working Here Professionals choose ZYCI because: Inspection is respected as a critical function, not an afterthought Work supports high-visibility aerospace and defense programs Clean, climate-controlled, and technologically advanced facility Strong culture of accountability, realism, and execution Opportunity to influence inspection strategy and quality systems Leadership that values expertise and long-term thinking Pay, Benefits & Schedule Above-market compensation based on experience Excellent health insurance Vision and dental coverage 3 weeks PTO per year All major holidays paid 401(k) with 3% company match Ongoing training and professional development Apply Qualified candidates can apply directly through hireCNC .
