As a CMM Programmer / Inspector, you'll play a critical role in ensuring part conformity, supporting first articles, and maintaining high inspection standards across production. Quality and precision are non-negotiable in this environment - this role directly impacts customer confidence and on-time delivery. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Program, set up, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for complex dimensional inspection Perform visual and dimensional inspection to aerospace specifications Create, modify, and optimize PC-DMIS CMM programs Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspection data for manufacturing Interpret CMM output data and graphical reports Collaborate with engineering, machining, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve measurement issues Generate alternate programs for validation and inspection coverage Train and mentor other CMM operators as needed Machines, Software & Inspection Tools You'll work with: CMM Equipment: Bridge-type and production CMMs Software: PC-DMIS Inspection Tools: Precision hand gages, metrology tools, fixtures Standards: GD&T, aerospace quality systems, FAI documentation What We're Looking For Required: 3+ years of CMM programming and inspection experience Aerospace manufacturing environment experience Strong proficiency with PC-DMIS Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Experience generating and supporting First Article Inspection reports Strong math, mechanical, and problem-solving skills Preferred (Not Required): Technical certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree Broader exposure to CNC machining and manufacturing processes Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and production teams Materials You'll Work With Aerospace alloys High-precision machined components Turbine and engine-related parts Work Environment Manufacturing and quality lab setting Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and inspection hardware PPE required Climate-controlled inspection areas with standard shop noise levels Pay & Contract Details $36-45/hour , based on experience 3-month contract with potential for extension depending on program needs Weekly pay Apply Interested CMM Programmers and Inspectors can apply directly through hireCNC .
