WERE HIRING: SYNON / COOL 2E DEVELOPER (CONTRACTORS): This role is a chance to work on mission-critical pharmacy claims systems while blending deep legacy expertise with modern development practices and AI-assisted tools. Role Overview As a Developer, you will: - Work on RxCLAIM / Claim Adjudication enhancements, focusing on claim processing logic and system integrations. - Develop and enhance applications interacting with downstream healthcare systems. - Maintain and improve existing systems while building new solutions. - Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues. - Document system flows and business logic. Key Responsibilities: - Development and maintenance of applications using Synon/Cool2E on IBM i / AS400 platforms. - Design, develop, and optimize COBOL-based programs and batch processes. - Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers and team members. - Work closely with business stakeholders to translate PBM/healthcare requirements into scalable solutions. - Support and enhance systems related to claims processing, eligibility, benefits, and pharmacy operations. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring system stability and performance. - Drive code reviews, best practices, and development standards. - Collaborate on integration efforts and support data exchange with external systems (EDI, APIs, etc.). - Participate in or lead modernization and legacy transformation initiatives. - Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).the Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience with Synon development. - Strong hands-on experience with COBOL programming in enterprise environments. - Extensive experience with IBM i (AS400) environments. - Experience troubleshooting batch processing and high-volume transaction systems. - Ability to take on leadership responsibilities if/when needed. - Support Insight Works Warehouse Insights and Dynamic Ship implementations. - Functional requirements gathering/documentation. - Train end users on Business Central modules and ISV products. - Migrate setups, main records, and history via configuration packages. - Testing Per Tenant Extension (PTE) functionality against feature requirements. - Assist with User Acceptance Testing, Mock Go-Live and Go-Live. - Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming basics. - Understanding of Business Central Per Tenant Extension deployment process (development, testing, production deployment, test extensions, and upgrades). Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of the following Independent Solution Vendor (ISV) offerings for Business Central: Insight Works(Dynamic Ship/Warehouse Insights), TrueCommerce (EDI), and VersaPay (ERP Payment Integration/Cash Application. - Functional knowledge of the following Business Central modules: Finance, Purchasing/Accounts Payable, Sales/Accounts Receivable, and Inventory/Warehousing. - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer (MB-820) certification. - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant (MB-800) certification. - Microsoft Power Platform Developer (PL-400) certification. - Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect (PL-600) certification. Desired: - Knowledge of the following Independent Solution Vendor (ISV) offerings for Business Central:Avalara (AvaTax, Continia (Document Capture) and iDynamics (iCommissions). - Microsoft Dynamics 365 development within Business Central (AL Code) Sales/CRM and Power Automate.
