Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment Diagnoses malfunctions in new and existing systems; makes improvements or modifications to produce desired results. Performs system administration duties, including networking on Unix/Linux equipment Performs upgrades and installations to Windows 7/10 equipment. Performs Link 16 operations at a minimum of Joint Tactical Information Distribution Systems (JTIDS) 101 levels. Works closely with project management, other engineering disciplines, configuration management, quality assurance and operations support in the design and deployment of systems or enhances. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 3 years with Tactical Data Link/BC3 experience to include patching in upgrades and software/hardware troubleshooting. Knowledge of Link 16 operations at a minimum of JTDS 101 and at least four years of applicable Data Link experience. AJOC (JT-310) course completion highly recommended/desired. JOB DUTIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Programmer III will be responsible for development support to expand and improve capabilities associated with the organization's critical operations. In this role, the developer will design, develop, and implement innovative Power Platform solutions that streamline and automate key processes within the Wing. Collaborate with end-users across different units to gather and analyze requirements for Power Platform solutions, including but not limited to PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate. Design and develop user-friendly and efficient Power Platform solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems, including but not limited to SharePoint, Dataverse, and SQL. Stay up to date on the latest Power Platform features, updates, and best practices. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to Secret. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain DoD IAM Level II certification (CompTIA Security+) certification within 180 days of date hired. Job Summary Essential Functions/Duties The Engineer will work primarily within research and development engineering groups with responsibility for a wide variety of tasks. The primary tasking will be a variety of testing tasks using radars. We are looking for engineers with entry to master level skill sets who work well in both theoretical and practical domains as part of an iterative process to create innovative solutions for a multitude of relevant domain challenges as partially described below. These positions generally require the following abilities which are usually performed within an office environment but also in the field: Calculate RF link budgets and expected interference levels for various test scenarios and geometries. Analyze radar signal to noise levels to determine if specified mission criteria can be met. Determine which specific radar and other technical data must be made available and collected to satisfy specified mission requirements. Determine the timing of waveforms to meet specific mission needs without exceeding duty cycle constraints. Design test scenarios and waveform timing to verify proper functioning of EW systems. Perform micro-Doppler analysis of radar returns to determine if mission objectives were met. Perform micro-Doppler analysis of radar returns to determine if presence of radar hardware or timing problems. Track known radar data over time to statistically determine the health of various radar systems and components. Analyze 3-D position and attitude data to determine if planned test objectives were met after test execution. Analyze radar data and statistically determine any anomalies when compared against expected values. Convey complex radar-related information in both written and spoken form for personnel with limited domain knowledge. Determine which signal processing techniques and algorithms to use to process radar returns. Determine sampling and signal processing requirements to collect data on moving targets. Provide software requirements to software team members. Write code (Matlab, Python, etc.) to analyze and assess specific conditions in radar returns. Work independently on multiple tasks.
