Rooms To Go seeks a Data Engineer Architect to lead the design and optimization of data platforms that power our large-scale retail and logistics operations. In this customer-focused, fast-paced environment, you will architect scalable data solutions integrating sales, inventory, and customer data to enable analytics, reporting, and real-time insights. You will own data models, pipelines, and governance, ensuring quality and security while collaborating closely with engineering, logistics, and business leaders. This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise data strategy and support performance-driven decision-making across the company. Responsibilities Design and maintain scalable data architectures for retail and logistics analytics Build and optimize data pipelines to integrate sales, inventory, and customer data Implement data models and warehouses to support BI and reporting needs Ensure data quality, governance, and security across enterprise data assets Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and retail leaders to define data requirements Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance and reliability in a fast-paced environment Support real-time and batch data processing for dashboards and analytics Troubleshoot data issues and improve system resilience and observability Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data solutions Document data structures, processes, and standards for cross-team alignment Required Skills Data architecture design ETL/ELT development SQL and relational databases Cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) Data warehousing (e.g., Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake) Big data frameworks (e.g., Spark) Data modeling (star/snowflake) Data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow) Data governance and security Performance tuning and optimization
