As a Database Administrator at Retirement Clearinghouse LLC, you will manage and optimize SQL databases supporting retirement account portability and rollover solutions. You'll ensure performance, availability, and security of sensitive financial data in a highly regulated fintech environment. Core duties include designing and tuning schemas and queries, implementing backup and recovery strategies, maintaining high availability, and enforcing data security and compliance controls. You'll collaborate closely with developers, security, and operations to support scalable, resilient platforms that help millions of workers preserve and grow their retirement savings. Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and optimize SQL databases supporting retirement account portability platforms. Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and encryption to protect sensitive financial data. Design, test, and deploy database schemas, stored procedures, and queries for new and existing applications. Implement backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies to meet uptime and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize queries, and tune indexes to ensure low-latency transaction processing. Support release cycles, data migrations, and ETL processes in collaboration with application and data teams. Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, standards, and procedures. Collaborate with developers, security, and operations to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. Monitor capacity, plan for scalability, and recommend improvements to database architecture. Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for production database issues.
