Description: The VP of Software Engineering at Hyper Solutions leads the software engineering organization end-to-end, with full ownership across software development, DevOps, security, delivery execution, and production outcomes. Build and mature DevOps as a first-class function, modernizing CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices. Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, environment management, and deployment safety. Strengthen AWS operational discipline and infrastructure practices, including Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards. Lead the next phase of platform maturity, guiding architectural evolution of the current Node/Nest monolith hosted on AWS. Reduce complexity in data models and integrations while improving scalability, maintainability, and system resilience. Drive pragmatic modernization strategies, including modularization and selective decomposition, while avoiding high-risk rewrite-first approaches. Define and execute a security roadmap aligned with leadership priorities and customer expectations. Establish secure SDLC baselines, including access controls, governance practices, audit readiness, and progression toward compliance standards such as SOC 2. Additional Responsibilities Own performance management, team structure, leveling frameworks, hiring strategy, and vendor partnerships. Build a high-accountability culture with clear ownership, strong technical standards, and disciplined execution. Develop engineering leaders and scalable career paths as the organization grows. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly preferred. 8+ years of extensive senior engineering leadership experience with direct accountability for production releases and system reliability. Extensive experience leading engineering teams from approximately 10 to 20+ team members, including hiring and performance management systems. Experience advancing security and compliance posture, including SOC 2 readiness and audit practices.
