Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the New Product Development and R&D teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and hands-on technical expertise, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer (1-year contract) Location: Shoreview, MN Pay Range: $85.67 - $96.15/hour What's the Job? Architect, design, and develop electromechanical systems for medical devices, including single-use disposables and console systems. Collaborate with marketing, medical affairs, and R&D teams to gather user needs and translate them into system requirements. Select and evaluate critical system components, prototype, test, and release devices to production. Support mechanical, electrical, and software teams with hands-on problem solving and system development. Prepare documentation including system diagrams, specifications, test plans, and V&V reports in compliance with IEC 60601 standards. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, or related engineering field. 8+ years of experience in electromechanical systems design, preferably in medical devices. Hands-on experience with Altium Designer, JAMA, and SolidWorks. Strong system architecture, component selection, and prototype testing experience.
