Position Description Job Summary: As a Junior DevSecOps Engineer, you will help build the next generation of infrastructure for Peckham Industries. Working alongside our infrastructure and software/data teams, you will implement code scanning and security tooling, scalable infrastructure deployment tools such as Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. The goal of this role is to bring Peckham to a best-in-class level on our security and infrastructure deployment standards for the line of business applications we develop or customize. This is an entry-level position combining infrastructure, DevOps, and security engineering. It is well suited to a motivated engineer who wants to grow across all three disciplines with the support of senior staff. You will support Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and provide second-level support to the help desk as needed. This role requires strong documentation practices and effective communication across the organization. Essential Functions: Mastery. Develop hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and application security tooling. Build and maintain Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks that define and deploy Peckhams infrastructure in a repeatable, version-controlled manner. Implement and maintain automated code scanning and security tooling (static analysis, dependency and vulnerability scanning, secrets detection) within source control and CI/CD pipelines for the line of business applications Peckham develops or customizes. Contribute to the design of Peckhams next generation infrastructure. Build, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) that deploy applications consistently and safely across development, test, and production environments. Provision and support Microsoft Azure resources (compute, networking, identity, storage) and Windows and Linux servers using automation and IaC rather than manual configuration wherever practical. Ownership and caring. Take responsibility for the reliability and security of the environments and pipelines you build. Ensure backup, recovery, and redundancy protocols are defined, documented, and tested. Position Requirements Requirements, Education and Experience: 1. Associates degree (2-year) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required. Bachelors or advanced degree desired but not required. 2. Entry-level role; 03 years of relevant technical experience. Internship, co-op, lab, or personal project experience with cloud, automation, or security tooling is welcome. 3. Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. 4. Fundamental networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and network routing. 5. Familiarity with a public cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure. 6.
