The analyst will possess expertise with the documents and processes encompassed by the Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS), to include the review and development of strategic documents, review of plans, global force management (GFM), and Joint Force Design, Development and Experimentation. Experience within the strategic analysis community of interest also highly preferred. The analyst will participate in analysis and formulation of advice and assist in preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, and project deliverables. This is an on-site position, with opportunity for limited situational telework. Tasks include: Support NGB J8 engagement and participation in the review and development of strategic documents, plans, GFM products, concepts, wargames, and analysis. Assess equities and implications for the National Guard forces, capabilities, and resourcing. Assist in assessing issues, providing timely information, and developing recommendations for NGB leaders in support of their participation in senior leader forums. Support developing and responding to formal staffing actions via ETMS2. Assist in developing, staffing, and finalizing NGB senior leader correspondence and written military advice. Collaborate with staff across the NGB JS and DoD to develop or maintain relationships that aid in situational awareness and knowledge of NGB missions and anticipate requirements in support of NGB senior leaders.
