Job Description: A Day in the Life of the Switch/Transport Technician: Assess and ascertain the condition of switches and other peripherals. Complete routine maintenance, weekly backups, daily orders and tickets in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and resolved problems. Follow established procedures and guidelines for maintenance. Follow necessary safety procedures. Ability to work individually and with a team in a stressful and demanding work environment. Interpret analyze and execute corporate engineering designs. Work closely with corporate engineering, IPD, other markets, and manufacturers of engineers to assist in designing circuits and resolve complex technical issues. Participate in an on-call rotation. Willing to work after hours for maintenance windows and outages as needed. Other duties as assigned.
