Key Responsibilities: • Set up and perform detailed inspections on parts, components, and assemblies using both mechanical and visual inspection methods. • Program CMM and operate inspection equipment such as CMM machines, FARO Arm, Keyence Wide Area CMM, micrometers, height stands, optical comparators, thread and plug gauges, gauge blocks, and plating thickness gauges. • Conduct final product and assembly inspections, first piece inspections, first article inspections, and incoming inspection of vendor-supplied items for compliance with purchase orders. • Document inspection results and generate formal inspection reports in accordance with company procedures. • Identify non-conformances, notify production or assembly personnel, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure resolution. • Monitor quality trends and notify management when corrective actions or process improvements are necessary. • Recommend improvements to inspection equipment or inspection methods to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Interface with customer and government representatives • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all health and safety regulations. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: • Associate's Degree or equivalent technical school training • Minimum 5 years' Inspection experience; knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing • Ability to program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines • Attention to detail. • Excellent organization and analytical skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Problem solver and ability to take initiative. • Ability to work in a team environment. Job Description Job Description Daily measuring of precision machined components to Aerospace AS9100 procedures using CMM's, micrometers, comparators as well as other various types of manufacturing gages. Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts per the customer's spec or AS9100 standard. Records inspection data as required in a neat and orderly way. Yearly Gage calibrations Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, procedures, and other materials as necessary to ensure that components being produced are according to specification and/or required drawing. Performs physical inspection of raw material and compares material certs. Basic understanding of machine shop equipment and operation. Requirements: CMM experience, particularly with Zeiss Calypso programming and setup, is highly valued. Starting compensation will be commensurate with experience, with premium pay available for candidates possessing advanced Zeiss Calypso skills. Ability to use various measuring equipment for inspections and calibration. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with proper legible handwriting. Minimum of 5 years' experience in an ISO/AS9100 certified machine shop. Basic math and computer skills as well as an understanding of geometric tolerances.
