DevOps Engineer
TechChain Talent Bellville, Texas
Job Description Job Description Why Etherealize? Etherealize is building the rails to bring Wall Street into the 21st century. Today's financial infrastructure wastes billions in trapped capital and operational inefficiency, forcing institutions to maintain massive reserves, limiting market liquidity, and creating systemic risk that grows more dangerous as markets become increasingly global and interconnected. With $40M in funding from Electric Capital and Paradigm, we are bringing together the best minds from Ethereum and Wall Street to rebuild the infrastructure that underpins the financial system - faster, safer, fully on-chain. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own how everything we build gets deployed, secured, observed and kept running. You will be joining a team dedicated to unlocking the true potential of on-chain finance, creating a world where traditional assets flow seamlessly through blockchain protocols. Etherealize has a series of products moving from beta to production with institutional clients, and we need the right person to make sure they run flawlessly. Why This Role Exists Until now, infrastructure and deployments for our web application have been handled by the engineering team alongside their product work. As we move from beta into production, with multiple client environments, contractual SLAs and SOC 2 on the horizon, that is no longer sustainable. At the same time, our blockchain infrastructure , including an Ethereum execution client instance we operate ourselves and a ZK proving pipeline running alongside it, is about to become a first-class production concern. This is not a backfill. You will be the first dedicated DevOps hire and the foremost infrastructure expert in the company. The basics are in place; you will reimagine our deployments, monitoring, alerting, runbooks and infrastructure security for production, and own them end to end. What Will You Do? You will sit across engineering, security and the protocol team, and will be expected to look at an architecture diagram and know how you want to deploy it and keep it running - we will be asking you what we should do, not the other way around. Infrastructure as Code: Own our AWS infrastructure in Terraform. Design modular, well-architected Terraform that scales cleanly across multiple client environments and maintain it with the attention to detail that production financial infrastructure demands; a single misconfigured variable or secret is a latent bug a client will find later. Web Application Operations: Take over deployment and management of our client-facing web application environments, including CI/CD, environment provisioning and regular contract and application upgrades. Blockchain Node Operations: Run and maintain Ethereum node software in production including Ethereum L1 nodes and Reth-based execution client instances where we are the sole operator of the state. Keep them in sync, snapshot and restore them, run read replicas, handle reorgs, and know what to watch for before it becomes a problem. ZK Proving Infrastructure: Operate the proving pipeline that runs alongside our execution client, including managing and monitoring a GPU cluster. You do not need to understand the cryptography; you do need to keep a heterogeneous, GPU-heavy workload healthy, scalable and observable. Site Reliability & Observability: Build the monitoring, dashboards and alerting we will need to demonstrate uptime against client SLAs for both conventional web metrics and chain-specific health (sync distance, block times, time since last block, proving throughput). Design and test backups, disaster recovery, multi-AZ and multi-region resilience, and traffic failover. DevSecOps & Secrets Management: Bring secrets management into the infrastructure-as-code pipeline (HashiCorp Vault or equivalent), including private key and signer key handling, and partner with our security lead on SOC 2 readiness, policy-as-code and infrastructure controls. Incident Response & Runbooks: Define how the company handles incidents in production: on-call, escalation, runbooks and post-mortems. Cross-team Partnership: Work closely with the protocol engineers who built our execution client customisations and proving pipeline to understand how the services fit together and iterate on how they are deployed and operated. Who Are You? You are a hands-on senior operator who wants a blank slate and the autonomy to build it right, and who is comfortable executing as a one- or two-person function rather than hiring a department. Required 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or SRE roles, with at least 3 years writing and managing production-grade Terraform on AWS. You build modular, reusable Terraform, and if we handed you an environment whose state file had drifted badly out of sync and asked you to reconcile it without taking anything down, you would smile and say "that's easy." Front-line experience deploying and operating production infrastructure at serious companies, where uptime and data integrity had real business consequences. Strong SRE fundamentals: observability, alerting, backups and restores, disaster recovery, high availability across zones and regions. Secrets management in an infrastructure-as-code pipeline (HashiCorp Vault or equivalent), including signing keys held in a hardware or cryptographic boundary (e.g., cloud KMS, HSM, MPC, or Vault Transit) with rotation and access control. Genuine blockchain familiarity. You have worked with Ethereum or EVM infrastructure and understand what a node does, how it syncs and what can go wrong. Meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and the raw problem-solving ability to get into genuinely hard, novel infrastructure problems. Strongly Preferred Hands-on experience running Ethereum L1 or L2 node software in production (e.g. at a node provider, staking operator, L2 team or exchange): snapshots, restores, read replicas, reorg handling, sync monitoring. Experience operating a Reth instance or an L2 / rollup stack. Deeper HashiCorp ecosystem experience: Sentinel (policy as code), Boundary. SOC 2 or comparable compliance experience from the infrastructure side. Nice to Have Operating ZK proving infrastructure or GPU clusters (monitoring, scaling, hardware health). Integrating with Web3 custodians and the key-management, network and data-centre security requirements that come with them. Kubernetes, and container-based deployment at scale. What's In It For You? Front-row seat to Ethereum history: You will own the infrastructure of a company fundamentally changing how financial markets operate, in a flexible, fast-moving environment where your impact is immediately visible. Scope & autonomy: You will define how Etherealize does infrastructure, security operations and reliability from the ground up, and have the ear of engineering, security and leadership while you do it. Career rocket fuel: We are one of the most dynamic and exciting startups in Ethereum, with deep ties to the Ethereum Foundation and other foundational Ethereum institutions. You'll work directly with Zach Obront (CTO, secured $10B+ in on-chain assets, ZK & L2 systems), alongside co-founder Danny Ryan (led Ethereum's Merge) and a team from Coinbase, Bloomberg, Microsoft, and Kraken. After this role, the sky's the limit for your career.

DevOps Engineer
Flux San Francisco, California
Job Description Job Description Why Flux Flux is taking the hard out of hardware. To do this, we're building the world's first AI hardware engineer. Founded in 2019, our platform enables anyone to go from idea to manufacturable board using nothing more than a natural language prompt. This democratizes a process that has historically required years of specialized expertise. We're going after a $15B+ electronic design automation market, backed by 8VC, Bain Capital Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, Outsiders Fund, Figma board member John Lilly, and GitHub founder Tom Preston-Werner. In February 2026, we closed a total of $37M in funding to accelerate that mission. What happens when we unlock the ability for anyone to make hardware? We fundamentally reshape the world. That's our mission, and we're just getting started. The Role Flux is building the world's first AI Hardware Engineer, and that means everything around it has to just work. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll work on the full-stack systems that power Flux's platform experience beyond the editor: billing, authentication, onboarding, and integrations. You'll ship production features that touch every user, keep the lights on, and make it possible for Flux to scale. What You'll Do Improve the reliability, availability, and operational health of production systems. Set observability standards across services (metrics, logs, errors). Set SLOs/SLIs, alerting, and on-call readiness with a focus on signal quality. Partner with engineers to design resilient systems and reduce operational risk early. Build internal tooling that improves system safety, debugging, and developer velocity. Manage infrastructure via Pulumi across GCP, AWS, and Firebase. What You'll Bring 5+ years SRE, DevOps, or production operations experience. Proven experience operating and scaling production systems with uptime and latency goals. Strong hands-on experience with observability stacks (Datadog, Sentry, or similar). Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and building effective alerting strategies. Proficiency with CI/CD systems and infrastructure-as-code. Experience with cloud-native and serverless platforms (GCP, AWS). Strong cross-system debugging and incident response skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-product distributed cloud tracing (stitching together Datadog, Sentry, GCP tracing). Familiarity with containerized and serverless workloads (Cloud Run, Firebase, Lambda). Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React, or the ability and desire to learn. Background supporting AI-powered systems or high-variance workloads. Startup experience or ownership of systems through rapid growth. Profile Impact-oriented: You don't feel done until real people are getting real value from what you built. Ambiguity-native: You thrive in the undefined. Our work is full of half-mapped terrain, soft constraints, and ideas that shift under your feet. That energizes you. You constantly update your intuitions as you go, and are excited to discover new and better ways to attack challenges we're still finding words to describe. Collaborative: You share your thoughts early and often, and welcome debate and creative collaboration. Flux is a deeply collaborative company, and we believe that the best ideas can only win if they're said out loud. Convention-averse: Flux is an AI-first company, building AI tooling, using AI tooling. We constantly experiment with new tools, techniques, and processes. You feel an urgency to reimagine what your work looks like in this rapidly changing world, and you value critical thinking far above established conventions. Ownership mentality: You are a self-starter, bias toward action, and care deeply about the team and community who lean on you and your work. Flux is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business need. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Compensation Range: $183K - $248K

Experience here isn't required, but would be a strong differentiator: Experience running LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, Dust, ReAct agents) Building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines - and deploying them safely and repeatably Familiarity with vector DBs (Weaviate, Qdrant, Pinecone) and embedding pipelines Monitoring and governing long-running or multi-agent chains Auditability and replay systems for agent decision-making Serving fine-tuned or open-source LLMs with model versioning and GPU scaling (e.g. vLLM, TGI) Interest in auto-remediation using agents (e.g. observability + alert insight response via LLM) Why This Role Matters DevOps is the nervous system of the platform - every agent, every data fabric component, every pipeline flows through what you build. This is a rare opportunity to design that system early, the right way, and future-proof it for scale, compliance, and trust. If you're excited by intelligent systems, distributed data, and deeply technical infrastructure problems - and you want your work to have immediate real-world impact - we'd love to hear from you.

Senior DevOps Engineer, AI Platform
FloQast San Jose, California
Job Description Job Description Why this role exists FloQast's AI products have outgrown the infrastructure patterns the rest of the platform runs on. Transform, AI Matching, and AutoBuilder are customer-facing products carrying real accounting workloads, and they behave nothing like a CRUD service. They call foundation models in multiple regions, execute generated code in sandboxes, spend money per token rather than per request, and fail in ways a 500-rate dashboard never catches. Today, DevOps engineers carry this work alongside the wider fleet. We are making it someone's whole job. You will embed with the Transform and Close AI pods and own the AI runtime the way our other embedded DevOps engineers own their business unit's platform. This is a DevOps role with an AI infrastructure specialization, not a research or modeling role. You will not train models or tune prompts for accuracy. You will make the systems that serve them fast, observable, multi-region, cost-bounded, and auditable. The products you'll support Transform. FloQast's data transformation and analytics product: a monorepo of containerized services on AWS, including an agentic LLM thread runtime, a natural-language-to-SQL service, and queue-driven workflow workers. You'll own the foundation-model runtime across our US, EU, and AU regions, sandbox isolation for AI-executed code, autoscaling for the worker fleet, and cost attribution for model spend. AI Matching. The automated reconciliation matching stack in our Close product line: LLM-backed match scoring, a matching copilot service family, and a regression harness that guards matching quality. You'll own throughput and unit economics at close-cycle peak, the sandbox for AI-generated code, and keeping the eval harness running in CI so a model or prompt change cannot ship blind. AutoBuilder. The Transform capability that generates transformation workflows and scripts for users instead of making them hand-build each one. You'll own generation-queue health and backpressure, triage that distinguishes a model failure from an infrastructure failure, scale-to-demand behavior for spiky load, and the latency budget for a user waiting on a generated artifact. What You'll Do: AI runtime infrastructure. Own our AWS Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore footprint across US, EU, and AU: model access, provisioned versus on-demand throughput, cross-region inference, quotas and throttles, and region-appropriate model availability. Data residency drives the multi-region design as much as latency does. Define the standard way product teams call a model, retry it, budget it, log it, and trace it, so they stop hand-rolling those primitives. Sandboxed execution. Operate the execution environments for AI-generated code, with session lifecycle limits, network controls, and least-privilege IAM. Infrastructure as code. Write and review Terraform across a multi-account, multi-region AWS estate. Every AI resource lands as code. Nothing is hand-made in a console. Observability for AI workloads. Extend our Grafana platform with the signals AI systems need: token consumption, per-model and per-region latency distributions, throttle and retry rates, tool-call failure taxonomy, sandbox session outcomes, generation success rate, and end-to-end agent traces. Define SLOs against critical user journeys, because an AI SLO that only measures HTTP health measures nothing. Cost engineering. Treat AI spend as a first-class cost line: model inference, serving capacity, sandbox compute, and the telemetry volume these systems generate. Tag everything so per-business-unit, and ideally per-tenant, attribution shows up in our FinOps tooling. CI/CD and delivery. Build GitHub Actions pipelines for Node/TypeScript and Python services in NX monorepos. Make model and prompt changes releasable like code: versioned, gated on eval suites, feature-flagged, reversible. A prompt change that silently degrades matching accuracy should be caught by a pipeline, not by a customer. Reliability and on-call. Join the DevOps on-call rotation, with runbooks you help write for AI-specific failure modes: region-wide model throttling, sandbox exhaustion, silent degradation without errors, poison messages in generation queues. Plan capacity against the accounting calendar; month-end close is the load test. Security, compliance, and tenancy. Hold the AI stack to our SOC 2 and ISO 27001/42001 evidence bar: audit logging, encryption, least-privilege access, patching, and asset inventory, for model endpoints and sandboxes too. Enforce tenant isolation on every AI path, including prompts, retrieved context, generated code, and logs. What You'll Bring: 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering, including production systems you were on call for. Deep, hands-on AWS: ECS/Fargate, Lambda, SQS, S3, IAM, VPC and networking, ALB/NLB. Terraform at production scale: modules, state management, multi-region, multi-account. CI/CD and container ownership: GitHub Actions preferred, Docker, image supply chain, scaling policies. Production AI infrastructure: you have operated at least one LLM-backed or ML-serving workload in production and can speak concretely about tokens, latency, throttling, and cost. Managed foundation-model APIs (Bedrock, Vertex, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic), serving platforms (SageMaker, KServe, Ray Serve, vLLM, Triton, TrueFoundry), agent or tool-execution runtimes, and eval harnesses in CI all count. Observability practice: Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and the judgment to define SLOs that measure user experience rather than server aliveness. Working fluency in Python or TypeScript/Node.js, at the level of reading a service, debugging it, and sending a real PR, plus the ability to read the other. Nice to have Multi-region infrastructure under data-residency constraints (US/EU/AU). The product requires this; prior experience with it moves you to the front of the line. AI-specific cost and performance work: token accounting, prompt caching, batching, model routing, right-sizing serving capacity. Sandboxed execution of untrusted or generated code. Terraform orchestration layers (Atmos or comparable) and monorepo build systems (NX, Turborepo, Bazel). Progressive delivery with feature flags (Harness or similar). FinOps tooling (CloudZero or similar) and per-tenant cost attribution. Data infrastructure exposure: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, EMR/Spark. Audit evidence you produced for SOC 2 / ISO 27001, or a cloud-cost reduction you delivered and can explain, including what you traded to get it. Prior work in a regulated or audited SaaS domain: fintech, accounting, healthcare. Not required Model training, fine-tuning, or research publications. An accounting background. We'll teach you the domain, and you'll need enough of it to know what "wrong" looks like. A PhD or formal ML credential. Production judgment beats coursework here. What to Expect: The AI stack Model serving: AWS Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore across US, EU, and AU regions; TrueFoundry as the model-serving and deployment path Sandboxed execution: AgentCore code-interpreter sessions with session lifecycle limits, network controls, and least-privilege IAM AI observability: Grafana AI agent observability: token spend, per-model and per-region latency, throttle and retry rates, tool-call failures, and end-to-end agent traces, tied to journey-based SLOs Delivery gates: model and prompt changes versioned, gated on eval and regression suites in CI (GitHub Actions), and rolled out or rolled back with Harness feature flags Runs on: multi-region AWS (ECS Fargate and Lambda), defined entirely in Terraform Your first 90 days Days 1-30, map and instrument. Inventory the AI runtime across all three products: regions, model dependencies, IAM posture, IaC coverage, observability gaps. Establish an honest AI cost baseline attributed by business unit. Ship one visible observability win, such as a token-spend-and-throttle dashboard. Days 31-60, close the highest-risk gap. Bring the multi-region model runtime fully under Terraform with no drift. Publish draft journey-based SLOs for the three products, with the pods bought in. Land one delivery-safety improvement: the matching eval suite running as a required CI gate. Days 61-90, make it durable. Own the model-serving path end to end: production-ready, documented, and with no single point of knowledge. Write down the AI runtime patterns and runbooks so the next team extends them instead of rebuilding. Propose the next quarter of AI infrastructure work with the reliability or cost impact attached. How we'll measure success at 12 months The multi-region AI runtime is production-grade: deployed and operated across US, EU, and AU, entirely in code, with no drift attributable to AI infrastructure. Journey-based SLOs are live for Transform, AI Matching, and AutoBuilder, with AI-specific signals (tokens, throttles, tool-call failures, generation success) on the dashboards leadership already reads weekly. AI spend is attributed and bounded: per-business-unit attribution, a defensible unit-cost metric, and a delivered reduction on the AI line. Model and prompt changes ship behind gates: eval suites run in CI, changes are flag-controlled and reversible . click apply for full job details
