Job Description Job Description Otherlife is for builders with something to prove. This isn't a "work on cool crypto stuff" company. It's a high-standards, high-velocity, high-accountability company building the operating system for value movement. If the internet moves information, we move value: crypto, stablecoins, tokenized assets, and whatever comes next. Four offerings make that real: fund, tokenize, trade, and spend. Otherlife is MoonPay's creative studio. We design how brands meet the next era of the internet, working with companies like Mastercard, Arsenal FC, Coinbase, OpenSea, and Shopify on the brand identities, digital experiences, and on-chain products that introduce real people to emerging tech. Our work sits at the intersection of culture, design, and technology, and the bar is clarity, craft, and work that holds up long after the launch. AI is the default operating mode here. It's woven into every role, and we expect you to use it daily. It handles the manual work so you can deliver on what actually matters. You'll thrive here if outcomes excite you more than process, if impact motivates you more than titles, and if you want hard problems, real ownership, and teammates who love winning, building, and doing it together. The bar is high. The pace is real. We're making emerging tech feel intuitive, accessible, and worth using, for humans and agents. MoonPay made Forbes' America's Best Startup Employers 2026 (Top 25 in Finance), ranked in Crypto Services on Fortune's inaugural Crypto 100, and made The Sunday Times Best Places to Work two years running. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of professional design experience, ideally in a creative or digital agency, with a strong portfolio of high-profile work. Remote contract-to-hire that converts to $225K. Put production agentic AI into a mission-driven health plan, own the platform from day one, and help a team grow from 50 to 150 engineers. Your first-week onsite costs are covered. This Jobot Consulting Job is hosted by: Hunter King Are you a fit? Easy Apply now by clicking the "Quick Apply" button and sending us your resume. Salary: $70 - $85 per hour A bit about us: We are a national, AI-first technology solutions provider. We help enterprise and public-sector organizations modernize how their people work, through AI, cloud, collaboration and managed services. We've been nationally recognized as a best place to work for career growth. We embed senior engineers inside our clients' teams to turn AI strategy into production systems that last. Our current engagement is with a regional, not-for-profit health plan that has already shipped AI to production on its own and is now insourcing engineering as a deliberate strategy, growing its team from about 50 to 150. As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will stand up the plan's enterprise AI platform, build the guardrails and reference patterns everything else is built on, and then go deep on workflows where success is measured in members served. Why join us? Contract-to-hire, converting to a full-time role with us at a $225,000 base salary Fully remote after an expense-paid first week onsite Ground-floor ownership: you build the eval framework, the guardrails and the orchestration patterns Real production problems in prior authorization, appeals and member services, not demos An employer recognized nationally for career growth Full benefits package upon conversion Job Details What We Are Looking For: This isn't a seat where you build demos for a slide deck. We are looking for a backend/platform engineer who has personally taken LLM-backed or agentic workflows past proof of concept into production, and owned them afterward through evals, guardrails, cost control and observability. You'll be embedded with the engineering team of a regional health plan in a PHI-everywhere environment. You will run discovery with business stakeholders and pair hands-on with engineers to deliver. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable defining the right problem with a non-technical business owner and writing the code to solve it. Just as important, they know when a problem doesn't need AI at all. This client describes itself as a "Toyota Camry shop": reliable, maintainable and simple beats sophisticated. The team will also be heavily involved in designing and building a Care Management System, where compliance with NCQA standards is critical. This role is remote, with minimal travel to Providence, RI, and requires onsite attendance the full week of 11/9. What You Will Do: Stand up Claude Code and Azure AI Foundry for a 20-seat developer pilot, including Entra authentication, quota management and cost controls. Build guardrails, secure design patterns and reference implementations that the client's engineering teams build on. Author and secure MCP servers and tool integrations connecting agents to ServiceNow, Snowflake, Grafana/OpenTelemetry, Entra and healthcare data systems. Build the AI eval and test harness covering prompts, retrieval, tool calls, permissions and end-to-end workflows. Design and deliver multi-step and agentic workflows for appeals and grievances, prior authorization and member services. Pick the right shape for each: deterministic workflow, single agent or multi-agent. Build RAG pipelines over the policy corpus with access controls, hybrid retrieval, citations and grounding checks. Implement policy-as-code and automated audit evidence for an organization audited seven times a year. Lead discovery sessions with business owners, document current-state workflows, and translate needs into requirements, user stories and measurable success criteria. Instrument AI workloads for observability, including traces, token and cost telemetry, and SLOs. Pair with client engineers and transfer knowledge so what you build stays supportable without you. What We Provide: Contract-to-Hire (6 months) $225,000 base salary upon conversion Remote, with expense-paid onsite sessions Full Benefits Package Available upon conversion What We Believe: Not sure if you meet every qualification? We still encourage you to apply! We value inclusivity, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds, including non-traditional paths. Unique experiences enrich our team, and the willingness to dream big makes you an exceptional candidate! We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not and will not discriminate in employment and personnel practices on the basis of race, sex, age, disability, religion, national origin, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law. Hiring, transferring, and promotion practices are performed without regard to the above listed items. Full time
Remote contract-to-hire that converts to $225K. Salary: $200,000 - $275,000 per year A bit about us: We are partnering with a rapidly growing, venture-backed technology company operating at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity to hire an AI Solutions Architect focused on Federal customers. This is not a traditional Solutions Architect position where you simply deliver presentations and hand opportunities back to Engineering. We are looking for someone who can architect, build, deploy, demonstrate, and troubleshoot real AI solutions while working directly with mission owners across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, DHS, and civilian federal agencies. You will serve as the technical lead throughout the customer journey-from initial discovery and architecture discussions through proof-of-value, deployment, integration, and technical win. The right person will be equally comfortable writing Python, deploying Kubernetes into an air-gapped environment, building an AI proof of concept, whiteboarding an architecture, and presenting the solution to senior government stakeholders. Why join us? You'll join a well-funded, rapidly scaling company building technology in one of the most important emerging areas of cybersecurity: protecting AI systems themselves. The company has recently completed a significant new funding round and is continuing to expand its engineering, product, and federal organizations. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems without a perfectly defined playbook. You should be someone who can walk into an ambiguous federal mission problem, ask the right questions, architect a solution, stand up the environment, write the integration, demonstrate it live, troubleshoot what breaks, and explain the outcome to both engineers and executives. Intellectual curiosity is especially important. The strongest candidates are typically people who are constantly experimenting-building side projects, maintaining home labs, testing new AI frameworks, contributing to open source, publishing technical content, or simply teaching themselves technologies because they want to understand how they work. The opportunity offers: Fully remote work within the United States Significant exposure to cutting-edge AI and cybersecurity technology Direct involvement with important federal AI initiatives High technical autonomy and ownership Opportunity to work closely with Product, Research, Engineering, and customers Flexible paid time off Company holidays Home-office and connectivity support Dedicated learning and development funding for training, certifications, conferences, and industry events If you're a deeply technical Solutions Architect who understands Federal missions, AI/ML, cloud-native infrastructure, and security-and you want to help solve the emerging challenge of securing AI systems-we'd love to speak with you. Job Details What You'll Do Lead Federal Technical Engagements: Partner with federal Account Directors to lead technical strategy across complex government opportunities. Conduct discovery with mission owners, AI/ML engineers, security teams, architects, and executive stakeholders. Understand customers' AI initiatives, architectures, data pipelines, infrastructure, security requirements, and compliance constraints. Translate loosely defined mission challenges into clearly scoped technical evaluations and proof-of-value engagements. Establish measurable success criteria, timelines, technical requirements, and exit conditions. Serve as a trusted technical advisor and provide candid guidance around where the platform is-and is not-the right solution. Architect & Deploy Real Solutions: Architect and deploy an enterprise AI security platform across both connected SaaS and fully disconnected/air-gapped environments. Package and transfer container images, Helm charts, dependencies, and supporting artifacts into environments with limited or no internet connectivity. Deploy and administer Kubernetes-based environments utilizing technologies such as: Kubernetes Docker Helm Private container registries OpenShift VMware / Proxmox AWS, including government and restricted environments Troubleshoot deployment, networking, integration, and infrastructure issues during customer evaluations and initial implementations. Ideal candidates will bring: 5+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Applied AI Engineering, ML Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role. Direct experience supporting federal customers across the Intelligence Community, DoD, DHS, or civilian agencies. Experience operating within federal missions-not simply selling technology into federal accounts. Strong hands-on Python development skills. Practical experience building and integrating modern AI/ML systems. Experience with technologies and concepts such as: PyTorch Hugging Face ONNX LLM APIs Model inference RAG Agentic AI architectures AI/ML pipelines Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. Working knowledge of cybersecurity and AI security concepts. Strong technical presentation and communication skills. Ability to take an ambiguous customer problem and independently turn it into an executable technical plan. Ability and willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry events. Especially Valuable Experience: Additional experience in any of the following areas would be highly desirable: Active Top Secret or higher-level security clearance. Supporting AI/ML programs in classified environments. Securing production AI or machine-learning systems. AI/LLM red teaming or adversarial machine learning. AI security or AI evaluation tooling. Model formats and AI supply-chain security, including: ONNX SafeTensors GGUF Pickle-based serialization AWS GovCloud or other government cloud environments. OpenShift and private Kubernetes environments. Federal cybersecurity or compliance frameworks. Certifications such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, CISSP, or Security+. Public technical work including GitHub repositories, Hugging Face projects, conference presentations, open-source contributions, or technical writing. The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here: This organization moves quickly and operates much more like a high-growth technology company than a traditional government contractor.
